Hello all, I'm thinking about building a pc up for the first time, I like to think i've got a fair bit of knowledge although i'm probably fooling myself.... I'll be using it for a combination of light gaming, large amounts of video editing/rendering and photo handling, and also the usual office based stuff. I'd like it to be fairly quiet as well...

Will everything be compatible? Also do you have any recommendations on the motherboard? This one has no firewire ports which is a concern to me, I know I could buy a firewire card but would that £30 be better spent on getting a better motherboard, perhaps this:

Also when will think motherboard become avaliable? It says 1-3 days, is this a reliable estimation? I'm looking to place the order for this system tomorrow morning so I'd really appreciate any input!
