I am looking to replace an old PC i have with an ITX platform to save some space. Because it's just going to be a backup PC from the main PC. I don't really wan't to spend a hugh amount. Not built one before, so would appearicate your guys input on the spec i put together for anything that might be wrong etc.

Case - Phenom MATX Cube Case - Midnight Black £70
Motherboard - B150M-A/M.2 Intel B150 (Socket 1151) DDR4 Micro ATX Motherboard (£70)
Memory - Core Blue Series 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-19200C16 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit (AVD4UZ124001608G-2C (£70)
CPU + Fan - Pentium Dual Core G4400 3.30GHz (Skylake) Socket LGA1151 Processor - Retail (£54)
Wifi Adapter - USB-AC51 Dual-Band Wireless-AC600 Wi-Fi adapter (£26)

For the other part that i already have, I will put in a 1xSSD 1 x 3.5 HD, a full sized PSU (would this fit), i have fans, and i will install the OS from an external CD Rom since i don't want an internal drive. I am trying to keep it lean and mean :-).

It won't be used to play games, so i think the onboard GPU should be fine, and it's doesn't need sound, but I know the board has it anyway.

What do you guys think?

What are you using the computer for and what is your budget if I may ask?

You've put in the opening line that you want to build an (m)ITX computer, however the chassis and motherboard you've listed are both mATX which is a LOT bigger.

My other concern would be you have selected a G4400 CPU, but 16GB of memory DDR4 2400MHz which seems like a lot for a simple computer and you're paying more for a speed that the motherbord and CPU can't make use off (max support is 2133MHz).

If you really want to go mITX (I would) then you'll want an ITX board;

Which comes to : £170 inc VAT + Del so that leaves 120 left over (from your previous spec) for the CPU which would get you a nice little i3 should you want to do a little light gaming or something other than office;

I haven't built a system in a while as you'll see below! I haven't' really needed to... still don't really but fancy looking at building a small ITX system.

My current system is

Pentium Dual Core E5200 Wolfdale (2.5GHZ Overclocked to 3GB)
ASUS P5Q-PRO
4GB 400MHZ DDR2
ATI Radeon HD4800
San Disk SDD 120G
Western Digital 1 TB Drive
XFX power supply.
Lian Li case.

I'm very out of touch with what's good these days.

Say I had a budget of around £600 - what could I do to improve on the spec suggested in the previous post?

I might want to do a bit of casual gaming, nothing too intense so would need a graphics card as well.

Not sure if I need a new power supply but would plan to use the existing drives if possible (will my 3.5 drive fit in the average ITX case?
