After not building a computer for a few years I thought it was about time. This build is for virtualisation and some gaming...
The delivery driver arrives...
Got the motherboard in. Plenty of space.
Now for the GPU...
Getting late but she powers on and boots OK. However looks like there is a problem with my SSD. Errors and all sorts. Tested it in another computer same result. Then it simply went dead. Guess I'll have to RMA it.
I gave up for the night at this point. Too tired but at least everything else works.
Looks like I need an 8-Pin CPU extension cable to complete the cable routing.
Finished - for the moment. RMA the SSD and re-arange the study to get the computer in place. Install Windows and all the software. Soak test and then overclock!
Repeat all this when my SSD is replaced. Joy!
I hate building computers. It's so fiddly but looks like I managed it with only one fault. Now for a coffee...
