I already have a Creative X-Fi soundcard, a viewsonic vx922 19' tft, a coolermaster 650W psu and i run windows xp professional

I am unsure about the board as there seems to be incompatibilities with ram and people have been having problems, though i took the advice from the sticky about gigabyte boards and got ram which should work with it

Total = £973.45
Should i go ahead and buy?

It looks good but I'd suggest a Tuniq Tower instead of the Zalman as it is cheaper and at least as effective. Up until very recently I'd have said change the Maxtor for a Seagate 7200.10 which might still be the best option but I've heard of a few problems now so you may wish to consider a WD drive instead. I'd also change the DVDRW for an NEC or Pioneer but that is mainly down to personal preference. :)

The Tuniq is a better CPU cooler;

Not sure about the case. Not heard many good things about that one. This would be my choice;

or the doorless version;

Depends if looks are more important in a case for you though, and the Shark does LOOK pretty good. But it's a noisy case from what I've read, and the cooling ain't great.

:)

It is a good motherboard and very overclockable, you could also consider the Asus P5W DH Deluxe but it doesn't work quite so well at really high FSB speeds I believe so I'd probably stick with the Gigabyte and the Ram is a good choice to pair with it. :)
