Hi All,
My first of many posts here i imagine. Just about to build the following system. Let me know what you think and if i have made any huge errors in judgement.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Processor (overclocked up to 3.2 - 3.3 GHz)
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Cooler
Asus P5Q Pro motherboard with Intel P45 chipset and Crossfire support
Radeon HD 4870 X2 with 2GB of memory
Antec Tweleve Hundred Case
Corsair 750W PSU
4GB PC2-6400 DDR2 Memory
20x DVD-RW DVD Re-writer
750GB SATA 7200rpm Hard Disk
X-Fi Extreme Audio

I had a budget of around £1000

(dont be too harsh as the orders have been place :) )
 
Only thing is 64bit operating system to make full use of the 4gig of RAM.
Part from that enjoy :)

Yeah i had a 32bit vista ultimate laying around but im scraping it for a copy of business i have laying around which is 64bit. Dont really need the extra ultimate functionality.

*edit* don't suppose anyone wants to buy a lovely copy of 32bit ultimate :P

Can't fault that spec easily, nice one :-)

Maybe you'll want to upgrade the sound card if it's of much importance to you. Oh, and i've said before, make sure you get a good gaming mouse and surface, it'll make a big difference if you don't already have one!

I agree about the sound card but my budget has be stretched with the above however its an easy upgrade later if required. i have a pretty sexy logitech gaming mouse which although a tad old now has served me well.

What would you suggest both sound card and mouse if i was upgrading?
