Im looking at canging to AMD as i am looking for best bang for buck...

Im fairly new to this and so before i buy all the parts i want to get the advice from someone more experienced.

Im looking to overclock and have done before with success, if anyone has improvements please tell.

Processor- AMD PII 955 BE
MB- ASUS crosshair III formula AM3
RAM- DDR3 4gb OCZ platinum 1333mhz
graphics card- XFX ATI Radeon HD 4890 1024MB
Opticle Drive- Samsung 22x DVD±RW SATA
Case- coolermaster HAF 932 full tower
Power supply- OCZ OCZ ModXStream Pro 600w

i already have two 500GB hard drives which i wish too keep will this all work and will it be a good pc for the money

You could save some money by going for a motherboard which does Crossfire at PCI-E 2.0 8X instead of 16X:

TBH,it should not make a huge difference in a Crossfire setup:

I would spend the extra on this PSU:

It has four PCI-E power connectors so you can add another HD4890 1GB at a later date if required.

I would also go for this 1600MHZ RAM:

If you are not overclocking run it at 1333MHZ using low latencies as this is the optimal setting for a Phenom II at stock speeds.

This will also be a good aftermarket cooler to use:
