My main use of my pc is gaming.

These are the bits I will be ordering, along side parts I already have. Which are:

GTX 260 Glaciator+
Antec 550W PSU
320GB Hard drive 5400RPM
DVD+RW SATA drive

What are your opinions? What would you improve? My budget is around £700, but I'm willing to give or take £50.

Thanks

I'd spend that extra 50 quid on a quicker hard drive, unless your current drive is a recent model. I'd start a new thread in the HD forum for suggestions from others.

Indeed I'd definitely spend a little extra on a faster HD, you'll notive a difference. Maybe swap out the retail version of windows 7 for the OEM one to save a bit of cash for the HD if you are budget limited.

Yeah you probably are right. Just me being tight ;)

So just the Hard Drive then? Nice.

Thanks though guys. I think I have made a firm decision then.

+1 for the i5 750 CPU. Its a proper quad core, not a dual core with hyperthreading.

Also, I'd switch the motherboard to this. The current intel implementation USB3/SATA 6G doesn't seem to be great (uses a lot of PCIe bandwidth). This gigabyte may be vanilla in terms of USB and SATA, but it does x8x8 crossfire and overclocks very well.

I used to love AS5, but these days I find this much better.
