My new card.

So my new 780 twin frozr came this morning and I'm over the moon with it. I sold my 2 7970s yesterday so I am making the jump from green to red and found the whole process pain free. No clean install of windows,just ATI uninstall,driversweep and insert new card./ First impressions are its a sexy card and quieter than my old Gigabyte windforces.

Now, the last time I had Nvidia cards were 580s and did not overclock at all. I dont have a clue what I am doing in EVGA precision but by bumping the voltage to +38 (high as it will go) and
GPU clock offset +64
Mem clock offset +86
I got 1124mhz on the clock and 3089 on the memory which after a full run of vantage is fully stable. I got 9158 in vantage,which considering I was only getting 11k and change from crossfire 7970s I am impressed. Going to have a look into EVGA precision now to see how I actually use it instead of just pushing sliders!

Hmmm managed +158 on mhz and 248 on mem easily and 20 of crysis 3 to test it out. Good guide by Greg there....speaking of which,where is he these days? Hope he is OK as I havnt seen him around for a while.

2 7970's to a 780 after the new crossfire fix drivers come out, strange move but pleased you're happy with it.

I'm getting a second 780 just wanted to shift my 7970s while they were fetching decent money. Not to be picky though but do you mean "improved crossfire drivers" as they are certainly not "fixed". They are infinitely better but still not done IMO. Thanks Suarez I am most pleased and cant wait to add another. Its nice not to have those raging fanboy opinions where because you have an AMD card you couldnt possibly use an Nvidia one as well. I buy what will benefit me and people who dont share that opinion are only hurting themselves by closing themselves off to a huge part of the market. I'm in this game for graphics and I dont care who puts em on me screen

They should be the same as the Titan so

core - 157-170-183-196 etc and should be good to +400 on the mem(with a bit of luck)

Agreed. I don't understand the kind of fanatical tribalism that surrounds the two camps.

Hopefully you can get over 1.2ghz and +500 on the mem. Nice card anyway :>
