So, the cheque cleared and GAK sent me their wonderful B-Stock Ibanez IC400 via next day delivery...
i was anxious as the auction didnt really give much away about the state of the guitar except it had some serious damage at the bottom and a picture of the damage was shown..

i was expecting dents and chips in the paintwork over the whole guitar aswell, like you would from a display model that anyone can test drive in the store - especially for a "cheap" guitar.

so, it turned up today and i ripped the box apart eagerly awaiting what was inside!

here she is, she doesnt have a name yet but i'm sure i'll think of something!

and here is a nice clear picture of the damage at the bottom of the guitar, this is the reason its B stock and i got it for £155 instead of the usual £370

comments and slaggings off (andelusion) welcome :)

well, when i get my project blog from my other guitar done you'll see what ive been able to work around with that one!

this damage will be tricky to fix as its a bound guitar buti should be able to get it workable. either that or i'll be black gaffer taping that bit :p

body is mahogany apparently though it doesnt look like it from what i can see, but i dont think the ibanez website would lie.

its got the standard ibanez pickups in it (the AH1 and AH2) but i'm tempted to put my "spare" dimarzios (D Sonic & PAF Joe) in this one and get a nailbomb set for my project guitar.

difference between mine and the SRV strat, which is beautiful, is that mine is just a bit smashed where as the strat is age worn and still in one piece, just like the Jeff Beck esquire - which is also pretty fine!

i had a dream last night where i'd bought another - thank god i woke up from that one!
