I will Be updating this Thread when parts arrive and Start building,

Any Help will be appreciated

Thanks!

Looking good, what GPU are you using, also you can drop the PSU down a few sizes unless you going to run Crossfire or SLI.

agree on the case, its a bit ott. perhaps the coolermaster cosmos would be just as good at £100 less!

also a 700-750 PSU should be fine.

also not completely blown away by the V8 CPU cooler (no pun intended) just a lot of money and some say its not the best cooler for the price bracket. Titan Fenrir, Scythe Mugen 2, Noctua or the Thermaltake TRUE

I'd add another (smaller) HD for backups, etc.

Unless going Crossfire/SLi, change the PSU to this one.

Case does seem expensive compared to other offerings (see this), but that's totally up to you. Besides, doubt you'll be upgrading/changing it anytime soon.

Good luck with build & keep us posted with PICS ;)

The case is all down to personal taste the ATCS is a decent one (if a little overpriced) for that sort of money i would be looking at a lian-li.

i will be using the Ati 4850 1Gb, i chose the 850W psu becuase i will be buying another 4850 in the future

As for the Case, its taken me forever to decide on one between the HAF, Silverstone Fortress, Etc. I want a Large case that looks clean and not too extreme but i think im going for the ATCS 840 i know its a lot of money but ive watched a few video reviews and its the best of the lot imo, Nice and Big, Has dust filters, Room for watercooling if i ever go there, Looks nice!

i have a 30Gb 10,000rpm raptor that will be going in aswell for a games drive, i also have A few WD External HDDs for backups.

About the CPU cooler which would be the best then? i do want to Overclock a bit

i will be adding lots of pics on the build! ;)

Best cooler is either noctua with 2 fans pull push or thermalight with noctua fans in pull push

ok, yea that noctua looks quite good, Anyone else recommend the noctua or the V8?

Also i have bought Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound, now does the i7 come with Thermal paste on?

If so is it best to remove it ( How?) and apply the Arctic Silver (how lol ?) : )

I'd recommend the noctua.

The i7 won't have thermal paste on it so just apply the as5. I think if you go to their site, they tell you how to do it.

ok cool, i will have a look on there site. ( Had a Quick look so you just spread a line of paste and apply Heatsink that spreads it out? )

not sure what too do about a Cpu cooler now then

I you get the Noctua it comes with its own paste NH-2 i thinks its called and in reviews it has better temps the AS5 so if you haven't brought it i wouldn't bother save yourself a few quid :)

Also i would go for a Be Quiet psu.

i have already bought the Arctic Silver thermal paste is this one better? i am thinking i might buy the Noctua one one as it does have 2 fans instead of the V8s one

I believe that the Noctua Cooler only comes with the one fan and you have to purchase the 2nd. But the 2nd wont be desperately needed.

They are all pretty similar. Personally i would use the Noctua paste if you get that cooler as it only a small tube the just keep the AS5 around incase you ever need it again

ok i have added the Noctua Cooler to my basket instead of the V8 now, Does anyone know if i does just come with 1 or 2 Fans?

OK so the Noctua paste will be just as good as the AS5? ( This is the Bit im scared about, apply the paste. I dont want to do it wrong a blow up my i7! :O )

I very much doubt you will blow it up unless you spread it over your whole motherboard.......just check AS5 website for i7 paste application instructions.

ha, yea ok i have done that, Will someone Confirm that you just Spread a line and then apply the Heatsink and that Spreads the paste out? obviously theirs a bit more to it than that but that's how it spreads across the cpu?
