well no performance yet, but you cant deny from the photos my car has dropped its jaw!!!

added an FMIC and SSQV last night but couldnt be bothered to take any photos, just drop the 'rents off at the airport so took the opportunity to take some pics, far from the easiest upgrade I've ever done, lots of blood was shed last night as well as some very choice language!!

Time to grow up bro, now that you're 30 (and a few days) it's time to leave all that chav scooby stuff behind and get a Mondeo. If you're lucky you'll even get some Dads Army tapes and a packet of Werthers originals thrown in like I did.

Trust me you won't regret it. 0-60 in ten minutes and the most amazing understeer is far more fun than any 300+BHP 4wd rally weapon.

hehe made me laugh :D

I'll send you some of my old happy hardcore tapes, force and styles blaring from your tape deck will set the mondy off perfectly :p

bah might look nice but the car itself is utterly screwed, just tried to drive it round the bloke and its totally mullered, feels like an IC hose has popped off but its as snug as a rug under the bonnet, got a bad feeling something major has gone pete tong :p

and yes I have a load of bonkers tapes next to me :D

Nice, same FMIC as I had by the looks of it. Shame about the issues your having mate.

/goes and digs out Helter Skelter tapes.........

Nice upgrade, shame about the running probs :(

Just make sure you get it sorted for next weekend!

Just had a thought.. with a FMIC, would you normally replace the bonnet with one without the scoop, as I guess its no longer needed?

edit: no idea what you lot are on about, tapes wise... /me goes and gets my Neil Diamond tapes, remembers he has no tape deck... gets CDs instead

No because that will make it looks less aggressive and it just would kill the look of the car

Swap you :D

Nice job will, have to cut the bumper much?

tonnes of cutting, so much so that I actually still havent managed to fit the bumper back on! worse still I was doing the cutting and forgot to put a mat under the bumper and ive scratched it loads, again not the end of the world it is stone chipped to death anyway.

Lag wise, yep lots more sadly, although the SSQV makes the sexiest noise so thats making up for it, also seems to have lost 0.2bar boost somewhere too, oh yeah thats right the turbo didnt die its not very well but its just a blown exhaust gasket, so im losing boost there I think, cant be bothered to fix it till I get the new turbo though. So it sounds like a large fart at the moment (moreso than usual!)

So how much more laggy is it? When do you get onto full boost - 0.2 bar? :p

Looks neat dude - look forward to a ride! :D

3k+ (1.4 bar) at the moment, but if you felt/heard the blowing from the exhaust im sure at least some of that lag is due to that - its not remotely slow by any stretch of the imagination, had a nice race down pal mall with a bentley and easily beat him despite him getting the jump off the lights :)

nah thats the standard p1/sti inlet manifold paint, subaru used THE worst quality paint and it flakes off so easily, one day i might get it rebaked/painted but its hardly a priority

ill go out and take a soundclip in a sec :)

Cool, thanks :)

I've just been looking at pictures of the boxer engine and am really quite taken aside by its design.

I remember when seeing my mate's Scoobs engine bay, I was amazed that you couldn't see the actual engine due to the mass of wires/pipes in the way.

Is the exhaust manifold/turbo on the drivers side, or at the back of the engine bay?
