Not many tricks really, just use a lot of masking tape so that you do not scratch the surface and then use a jigsaw to cut it out. To finish off the edges you can use a dremel or I prefered a sharp hand file as it gives even neater finish. To fix the perspex I used the rivets as I quite like the look of them.

Yeah, I have to say im quite a fan of rivets. :) So is the perspex the same shape as the window or is it simply a rectangle? How did you cut the perspex? Have you used washers behind the rivets to spread the load? Sorry for all the questions, but im going to need to do my v2000 sometime in the future, and I would be quite happy if it turned out like yours. Im not going to go for the standard shape LianLi window as I want the lower compartment showing as well.

The perspex is just a rectangle. I cut it with the jigsaw. The quality of the acrylic wasn't that good, i got it from B&Q, 3mm thick. It is quite brittle and there were tiny cracks appearing on the edges when I was cutting it. I didn't use any washers but it's a good idea to have them, the shop didn't have long enough rivets at the time so I couldn't use washers but it still worked fine.

On the V2000 you might want to use 5mm acrylic as the surface area will be huge and the window might otherwise become wobbly.
