A nasty looking minefield
:(

Is the biggest waste of money of all time....

Brought me a Microsoft HABU and a Icemat 2nd Edition.

I attached the little teflon feet to get rid of noise. No problem

However the mouse twitches like ****. When you are aiming the mouse at some poor Counter Terrorist's head it jerks around a little bit. Seriously annoying.

E.g you aim the mouse up and it will go up and sideways in a really jerky fashion.

What a waste of money :o

However I havent installed mouse drivers yet :o so that may make a difference. I heard people had trouble installing drivers.....

Is this to be expected???

cheers

I dont know much about the Habu as i dont have one, but i have owned 3 other Razer mice and there is a reason they come with drivers.

I did hear a lot of bad things about the Habu before but im sure there was a firmware update for it.

Just had a look and it seems this should improve the performance, here.

let us know how the drivers go :)

i take it you've checked the laser/optical bit for dust/hairs that could be interefering?

if its a lazer mouse then the icemat will have a problem tracking it...lazer mice work best with a steelpad 5l or similar cloth pads.

This man speaks the truth, laser mice aren't great with the icemat. :(

Wheres a crying emoticon when you need one

Thats a bugger.

So im left with a expensive mouse on my table, or selling the mouse and getting an optical......

Damn this technology....

i had the same trouble with my G5 and my ICEmat.

There was a firmware upgrade for the mouse and ive been happily gaming now with it for over a year.
