I have recently come into some money and have budgeted £4000 for my new pc (hoping to have change ;) ...) I have already sold my previous pc and am looking to build one that will last a little.

I already have a 30" monitor that i will use as a tv as well.

I am not very up to date with the current hardware out so was hoping someone would give me some ideas on how to go.

What I think wizardmaxx is trying to say is that £4000 is way too much for even a gaming PC :eek: Almost half of that, should get you a decent rig with good peripherals :D

The spec in your sig at mo looks fine for everyday stuff and gaming, are you wanting to use it for pretty hardcore stuff or just want a pc that's going to last for a good few years before obsoletion?

Thanks for the help

I sold the pc in my sig to my cousin for cheap (he diddnt have one).

and i am going to use the pc for the usual stuff gaming/ video encoding.

But i also use it for my work (which requires somthing quite beefy)

I will not spend all 4k (in fear of getting shot) ;)

and no i dont analyse DNA....yet :p
