Hi,

I am currently looking a making a new gaming rig. Here is what i have come up with below for something within my price range. Please can i have some feedback/advice from you guys. Anything you think i should change or re consider?

Asus Silent Knight II CPU Cooler
Antec Nine Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case
HIS ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2 1024MB GDDR3
Asus P5K3 Deluxe WiFi Intel P35
Crucial Ballistix Tracer 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz
OCZ GameXStream 850w Silent SLI Ready
Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "Energy Efficient SLACR 95W Edition" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - OEM

Any thoughts would be GREATLY appreciated.

Would the PSU be enough if i wanted to maybe go Xfire in future ?
Is this a good motherboard for the 3870x2 and my processor in terms of overclocking?

Thanks All!

Turboduck.

I want to spend around 800 pounds of my hard earned dosh and am not afraid to overclock, want to push it just so i get the most from my hardware without losing stability.

Any suggestions?

cool looks like a very good PSU - thanks for that, although only 620 instead of 850... will 620 be enough if i was to run another 3870x2 in Xfire and perhaps another 2 gig of ram in the future ?

Ok...

so any final thoughts/tips from anyone one the below spec? Any estimates at what sort of overclock i would be able to achieve with this CPU and mobo? Would it benefit more from a dirrerent CPU cooler?

Asus Silent Knight II CPU Cooler
Antec Nine Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case
HIS ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2 1024MB
Crucial Ballistix Tracer 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz
Corsair HX 620W ATX2.2
Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "Energy Efficient SLACR 95W Edition" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - OEM
Asus P5K Premium/WiFi-AP Intel P35

Thanks! i have changed to the Asus Maximus Formua mobo but now im still having problems deciding on a cpu cooler for my q6600.

Can anyone suggest one that would work well with this set up and be a nice overclock for the q6600?
