hey guys and girls ive been working now for a month and a bit now have enough money for some serious gear :D , this is what i was thinking any suggestions cept wait for "conroe " which i dont wanna do being as i have a pent d an i just arent impressed with intel machines lol :D well heres a screenie of my system btw this is a full setup will be gaming like a maniac on my days off :D

sorry for the shocking res for u with uber screens :D

That looks very nice. Although I'd probably buy a better cooler for the CPU - something like an Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro wouldn't break the bank and is much better than the stock cooler. You could also invest in a couple of 120mm Akasa Ambers for the case.

Just a personalt thing, but I'd rather have tight timings on the RAM than really high speeds, something like the XMS3200C2PT or some GSkill ZX. It all depends on what you want to do with the machine. :)

i was debating a full watercooling setup throughout, not sure i had akasa ambers i dont like them lol. if i dont go water then i think ill get a freezer. and i wanna oc it, cant buy an opty and not oc it now can we!!?? :D :p
ill also at some point be geting another 7900 and sli :D :p

Very nice setup, nicely balanced.

But your screen sucks, give it to me so that I can look after it for you and that you will never see how bad it is :D :D

j/k, good luck with the build!

A single x1900xt 512mb is faster and better than 2 7900gt's 256mb sli'd! + you'll need 512mb memory if you're running that screen!

You forgot a CPU cooler, you'll need a good one with an Opty.

The PC3200 ram I spec'd is just as good as the PC4000 and some would argue better because of the tighter timings.
