ok thx for your amazingly quick responces as allways

the PSU : i could go for thet one that you mentioned "Be Quiet 850w" whats the reson for me switching? targens are pretty OK arent they

the 26" monitor im kind of liking tho be much better for movies and 3D work (remember i do bring work home) is there any reason why i should not get a 26"?

the NZXT Hush Classic Series has loads of noise padding in the case, i'd like to get one that will isolate at least some of the noise do teh ones you mentioned do this

Ram yep 12gb is a bit execessive..but then its pretty cheap for 12gb really...im not over clocking it so its standard stuff. how much should i get considering i need a PC that can Handle load of APPS open at one time 3dsmax Zbrush PS... sure more the merrier?

CPU fan which Noctua this one "Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 CPU Cooler (Socket LGA1366) Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 CPU Cooler (Socket LGA1366)" : )

thx again

ok thx been taking on all your opinions and changing what i agree with as well, still stuck on which case has to be a silent or one that is going to reduce the noise...looks dont matter really

well i will get a SSD in my next upgrade right now they are to pricey for what you get. when a 500gb SSD is some what affordible i will but now i think is not the time...would love to really would but not yet :)

ohh... just noticed the P182 SE i guess the SE stands for "shiney edition" very nice thinking of this or the COSMOS 1000 althogh the CM is huge... COSMOS 1000 any good?

think im going to go for the "Antec P182 Super Midi Tower Case - Gun Metal Black (No PSU)" case shame the special edition one is not avalible anywhere would have much prefered that but....

so here is the final spec

yep i could get 2 of those and that = more power + more noise. but i don't think its "splurge"...ask yourself how much you have spent in the last 6 year on computer components? me = £0. im sure most of you in here have spent easily that over the past two years on upgrades and brand new systems yourself.

quite simply i want Nvidia i have had Ati before but don't like the software, drives or the kit and have had nothing but problems with them on my brothers PC. we use nothing but Nvidia in work to so im sticking to what i think is best...if it cost me 60 quid more or i drop 2 or 3 FPS who cares. i have saved up for this and i think its worth getting what you want if you can afford it. its an essential tool that i use everyday so its important that im happy with what i finally decide upon!

trust me im gonna be well happy with a 285, i currently have a geforce 4 4400 Ti : )

i will get an SSD when i upgrade, these are a waste of cash right now i agree there,

again thx for your help

P

yeah thx neon, i originally liked the hush but that was before people on this forum pointed me towards the Antec P182 or the cooler master one, going to check the sizes tomorrow see how much bigger the two are compared to my present ATX.

i agree metamorphpwner there is a lot of rubbish monitors out there esp 26" - 30" ones thats why im getting a 26" Samsung i know its a good monitor i have seen it in action ; ). tho TBO all the samsung i have seen recently have been really good so its a no brainer :)

cheers
