My New Rig

Hello All! I am very excited this morning because UPS just delivered my new hardware.

For those of you who don't know me I am running an AMD setup right now and I just got the fixin's to switch to Intel.

Last month I purchased a Q6600 and I've just been sitting on it. This month I purchased an ASUS P5Q Turbo and a Cooler Master V8 and it arrived just moments ago. The mobo was actually purchased as an open box deal and I will tell you that the quality of packaging, all the extras (stickers, SATA cables, software) were with it. I wouldn't have known it was open box had the seller not informed me. The cooling fan was purchased new.

Looks can be deceiving, so tonight, as soon as I get off work, I am going to perform some major surgery on my rig. I'll let you all know how it turns out tomorrow.

Let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions on anything I'll thank you in advance for them now.

how are they a competitor to a UK company?
If we bought from there we would have to pay import VAT and duties on arrival lol
besides I don't think they ship to UK

I understand about the competitor issue, I was basically giving another site props, so I do apologize (blog newbie). I have remedied that portion.

I will have some pics as soon I as I get it put together. I'll post back in a bit with "before-photos". Tomorrow or tonight I'll post the "after-photos".
