In acme's chair.
The goods, some bought used from various contacts on the MM, some I had in existing systems/spares and a few parts bought on offer from www.overclockers.co.uk using my free postage :)

Parts list:

AMD Phenom II 955BE w' Zalman CNPS10X Quiet
Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3 AM3+
8GB (2x 4GB) TeamGroup Elite 1600MHz DDR3
XFX Radeon HD5770 SS (Will be GTX560 Twin Fan)
500GB Samsung HDD (Unsure of model w/o looking)
OCZ CoreXstream 500W
Xigmatek Helios XTK231

The HD5770 is a temporary 'stop gap' card until I get a GTX560 or similar. I ideally need an NVIDIA GPU as Folding @ Home makes better use of the available power with an NVIDIA card.

Phenom II 955 Black Edition. Lets hope she's a good clocker!

The cheap little case I picked up. A Xigmatek Helios. Nothing special, but it looks tidy and will get the job done.

Motherboard and HDD in.

I had to remove the rear fan to insert the I.O shield as the lip of the fan - rather stupidly - slightly overhangs the rear I.O section.

PSU in. Cable management will not be the best you have seen in this PC as the case has litterally no features designed to help cable management. But i'll see what I can do.

Uh-Oh... Looks like someone didn't do their homework. The heat pipe caps on the Zalman CNPS10X Quiet protrude further than the side of the chassis.

And there it is, done. Cable management will most likely get worked on slightly with some cable ties etcetera once I get the new GPU. But for now, it looks presentable enough.

Success! Not a single problem upon power-up! :D

Whoop whoop! The OS loaded even though it was installed on the HDD while in a completely different AM3 system. :D Will need to install a new OS before automatic activation though :(

The side panel does actually fit on which is nice, however the heat pipe caps do press against the side of the chassis, forcing it to bow slightly. This isnt too much of an issue, and I could always modify the side-panel to allow the heat-pipes to protrude out of the side in the future.

The heatpipes touching the side panel.

Please let me know your thoughts :D

Installed Windows Server 2012 Standard Edition x64 and converted it to a workstation OS.

CPU is sitting at 3.6GHz on stock volts, temps never go over 47°C. I could probably do 4GHz with this one with voltage tweaking, but I think i'll leave it where it is.

Red SATA cable has been replaced with a much longer blue one which is routed with the front IO cables around the edge.
