It booted great the first time, and the install of windows and setup of Raid0 on the 400Gig drives went without a hitch too, couldn't be happier with that side of things :)

But there are problems...

I don't know what to do to overclock this thing, yes i know there are threads and manuals but I've tried overclocking the CPU and it just goes into 'Safe Mode' and refuses to co-operate. GPU overclocking just makes it overheat too much (it gets to 53 degrees C at load as it is) and none of the programs I have or indeed the BIOS (P23 beta2 btw) can agree about the frequency/temps of the system.

I have however brought the RAM to its correct speed, as opposed to the 800Mhz 5-5-5-18 it gave me to start off with :x So it's now 1000Mhz 4-4-4-12 @ 2.2V Nice and stable too.

I know that this stuff i've bought here can achieve better things than this though :( can I have some guidance please?

erm that temp is nothing especially on load, thats impressive, I see its the WC vers anyways, crank it up.
oh ok, thanks for the heads up! My last system was rather poor tbh so i'm not used to everything being bigger, faster and hotter lol. *Whips out ATItool* :D i'll post what it gets up to asap. I'f I save the profile in ATItool, will the 8800 keep those settings from then on?

im not 100% sure with 8800 oc'ng head over to the gfx forum and ask those gurus but I know for a fact that GPU can handle some big heat dont be scared to get some higher numbers.

whaaaa, ok, I started using ATItool and my whole system has become horribly unstable, it's crashing regularly even within the program. This can't be good me-thinks :(
