I sold the Skyline because I need to free up some cash and it had to go to keep the missus quiet, hence something cheap and fun.
I sold the Skyline for £4.5k, this old Kraut cost me £1100. All I'm going to do at the moment is strip the interior and chuck a cage in it. Engine swap will only happen at a later date if I keep the car and I get back on top of my finances.
Why have you sold the Skyline?

If you are going to put a cage in I presume you'll also be fitting proper bucket seats, a properly mounted 4 point harness and you'll be wearing a helmet?

I give it 3 months until you're selling this and buying a pedal bike, or a reliant robin
Should have kept the scoob or rx7 tbh, those were two very nice cars, especially the rx7.

Looks horrid. I really feel for you having to downgrade from the Skyline to this. Couldn't you just finish/kill the missus OR come to some compromise where you could actually have something a little better, surely you got it right the first time with the Teg?
No need to feel for me, despite being gutted to have to sell the Skyline the fact that I have freed up some much needed cash at the moment sweetens the loss a bit, and I still have a fun 'toy' to play with
Looks are subjective and the looks of this car were always going to be controversial but as a car it ticks all the boxes of what I need right now. Yes, it's a huge downgrade from the Skyline but it was a necessity and it's the right decision at the moment.
As for the 'teg, yes, in hindesight I should have kept the SiR, but that's life. Having said that, I'm glad I've owned that Skyline as I've had a lot of fun in it and it hasn't cost me a penny. Infact I made a hundred quid on the sale compared to what I bought it for.
