My new X2 3800 OC

i was gonna oc my 3800 x2 also when i got my freezer 64 pro, but i heard from a friend that if u oc by more than 10% the timings between cores go out of sync and cause it to crash a lot,he said amd published a big thing about it
any1 else heard anything like this?

Nice overclock, you should be able to get that up to 2.7/2.8ghz.
I have the same stepping and need 1.5V to get mine to 2.6ghz.
mobo problem imo
that out of sync thing doesn't exist, if AMD did publish something like that, it was just to try to scare unexperienced people out of killing the chips...

Did a bit more testing lastnight, got it to boot into windows at 2.8ghz with default volts (1.3v), however, after loading windows, i installed and ran Condemmed and it crashed during the initial opening sequence of the game.
Still, it suggests this cpu will go higher with more volts, maybe even hit 3ghz, but im happy running at 2.7ghz @ 1.4v
for now until i get more time to test further, i dont want to put more than 1.4v through it as its running a little hotter than my 3200 did with 1.6v going through it
