Keyboard K750, battery once charged lasts 3 months in total darkness and the KB charges using any light source so if you have a\ big monitor and play in the dark/watch movies then the screen itself could charge it!

US price is $80 which I think is very fair and I have a K340 at the moment but even though the bateries on that lasts 3 years (!) I want the profile of the K750 as I much prefer those types of keys :D

Thats nice, saw this earlier on but didn't pay much attention, never realised that your monitor can charge it, that's pretty cool.

What's that kind of solar technology is called??

Just solar energy? :p The new generation of solar panels don't need sunlight to charge stuff, just as long as there is ambient light!

The PL comment from someone saying that Logitech could out a kinetic wireless mouse is an interesting idea - Having no batteries in KB/mice is the way I want to go!

I'll get the K750 from Logitech this Xmas :)

There's quite a few different types of panel, wondered what this one was called :p

If it were backlit that would be pretty awesome, chiclet keyboards are so much more comfortable to type on.

As for wireless mice, I'm not much of a fan, bad experiences at work!!

No need for sunlight in this country :p

I do like Logitech's low profile keyboards, they always leave the bottom row of keys (space bar ctrl etc) raised which I always liked because in gaming this helps greatly.

Solar energy and renewable energy in general excites me, so I might just have a look at this keyboard when it comes out. What a nice design too, it looks superb.

It'd probably use more power than it would generate.

Yep, it's not that efficient - yet.
Possibly never will be too.

When I studied them (briefly) the inital outlay for a system of PV panels say £20k would never return. PV cells die off after use, think it was about a 12 year lifespan?

So the panels never actually pay for themselves, despite grants etc, reason why people (in the UK esp) never picked up the technology properly.

Mechanical switch keyboards are too noisy and go stiff over time. Have used them at work and they feel ancient and are distracting.

Can't be doing with mechanical keyboards, each to their own etc, but I find the action horrible.

Back on topic though, is there a variant of this with a wrist rest? I've got a low profile S510 at the moment which is great, and the wrist rest is very comfy, not a fan of keyboards where there is a "step" up from the desk.

@Khaannn What keyboard is it?

Which one?
