Looks good wish I could get a answer over the premium of the dragon edition vs the non dragon normal gt70 as the 1k extra asking price seems a lot for a red lid and 16g extra ram. Seems like a miss price to me but no one else in the UK currently doing pre orders.

Dragon edition at OCUK has the 4930MX extreme edition CPU which is why there is a $1000 difference.

Hmm, I can only presume that the high rez screen will really age the 780M quicker than it should. Are the MSI G60 series modular and able to be upgraded with future GPU's like the Clevos? I presume the PSU will be already be meaty enough to copy with the next generations if so.

The GPU is fully upgradable yes (Though can take only nvidia cards)

Another quesiton, does a resolution of 2880x1620 really provide so much benefit over 1080p on a 15" screen? Of course i nterms of real estate, but I can only see your eyes massively straining on apps or text that don't allow scaling or enlargement.

The IPS type helps improve viewing angles and clarity to help with that.

Nah, with DPI scaling it allows for sharper texts. (Windows' DPI scaling isn't the best thing ever but it's usable.)
