Hey.

Im looking forward to monday, im getting my new stuff there (my signature).

I have bought it for OC in mind, and i am looking for around 4.0 GHz on the cpu.

There some pretty good guides on the forum about the same, but is there anything,i should now around these thing??

Im jumping from AMD to Intel for the first time, and i am looking forward to deal with perhaps some problems.

Isnt better to raise the FSB instead of raise the multiplyer?.
I have in mind, that i set the specs. to:

Multiplyer to 19
Fsb to around 210, that should get 3990 MHz on the cpu.
VCore: Aroung 1.32 V
And so i am getting stockd, what next, what about the rams??

NB: sorry my language, im from Denmark

For the most part, its very simple.
I made my first machine and overclock a few weeks back.

You should first make sure you have good cooling, and check your temps at stock to see if everythings good.

The main settings you'll need are BLCK (equilvalent of FSB), Vcore, Multiplier, and RAM settings.

Is it possible to set the multiplyer to 19 instead of 20 or 21 on the i7?

Insted, i will raise the FSB higher to around 205-210

Have a look on the EVGA forums as there are a few guides on there (one written by Shamino) that apply to all i7 boards and not just their own

There's a decent guide from gigabyte over here.
Its not specific to your board but the options are pretty much the same.

On a side note you may want to reduce your signature to something ≤ 4 lines of text. ;)
