Could some of you experts help me overclock my old bundle?
I got it off overclockers in2010 and when my old psu went It wiped out my overclock I want a easy way to overclock it we'll here are the specs.

Intel Bloomfield 930 currently at 3.20( with CPU level up).
Mega helms CPU cooler

Asus rampage 3 motherboard
6gig coarsair 1600 ram
2 GeForce 470 sli
Corsair had x case
1 tb hard drive
Xfi 7.1

As isaid went a easy overclock I want a 4.20( bundle was at this speed)
So I'll leave it up to use yo advise me.

From memory OCUK clocked these at 200 x 21 to give 4200MHz. The vcore was at 1.3 to 1.375 max. Qpi at 1.275 to 1.3, vram at 1.6 to 1.65 max. I do not have all the settings, but this may give you a start.

The i7-930 should have a 21x multiplier as stock. Maybe the motherboard will not supply that but I am surprised as it should be the default for this CPU.

Does it boot at 20x 200? You could try 20x 210 but that would increase the other frequencies like memory/
 
Hi, my Asus P6T DLX mobo 930:4.0ghz CPU Vcore:1.31250v + QPI/PLL:1.31250v same volts LLC Disabled at 21x192, just leave every thing else on Auto for now.

For 4.2ghz CPU Vcore:1.35000v + QPI/PLL:1.35000v same volts but with LLC Enabled in Bios. l run it at 4.0ghz as the temps are very good 24/7, but saying that l can run 24/7 at 4.2ghz as well with good temps.

Done a bit benchmarking and 4,0ghz is the sweet spot for doing anything PC wise, gaming, photoshop, rendering. The extra 200hz does not make that much difference.

Right set your Bios 4.0ghz 21x191, CPU Volts:1.35000v + QPI/PLL:1.35000v same volts + LLC:Enabled everthing else auto for now try that just for now to see how your Temps are +stability.

My build Asus P6T DLX mobo >930:4.0ghz+SLI 670+12GB Ram + Custom Loop, depending on your ram 1.5v to 1.65v.

I did they don't have the settings anymore thank you for the replays ppl I give it ago tomorrow if you have anymore info please let me no.

Have you checked for a overclocked profile saved in bios?

As long as you have not updated the bios, or the the psu did not damage the bios chip, your overclock may still be there.
 
I went into the bios I didn't see the overclock profile :(
They all say profile 1to 8 or something.
 
You could try loading the profiles to see if one is the OC, but would think OCUK would have named it.

Did you try OLDPHART's settings?

Right applied oldpharts settings now at 4.20 but im gettin weird graphic corruption and black screens when I boot up the PC I get the graphic corruption and somes the screen will go off now in the bios my Llc is on auto and everything else is on auto now when the PC is on its great but booting up is were I get the problems my v core is 1.3000 and. My qpi pll 1.35000 like oldpharts sugguseted any advice plz. Thanks for reading this.
