Hi all,
In June 2016, I asked for build advice on here and I built this PC:
Later on I got the RX480 GPU to go with it.
The build was my first PC in over 10 years, and was made for Planet Coaster. Later on it changed my life really, as the increase in online activity as a result of having the PC meant I found out about bank account switching (making some cash) and then later on matched betting (making more cash!).
To this day I still have the same case (although upgraded with a mesh front panel and more fans), CPU cooler, monitor and main SSD drive as the above build! I even used the cheap £8 keyboard and mouse combo until only last year!
The CPU was upgraded three times, from the 6600K in this build then to a Ryzen 1700X (with motherboard change to X370 obviously) and then to a 5800X3D on the same mobo!
The GPU was upgraded from the RX480 to a 3070 FE and then to the current 7900XT!
The PSU was upgraded from the 550W Superflower to a Corsair RM850x!
The RAM stayed as 16GB for ages but then was upgraded to 32Gb with the 5800X3D purchase.
The Wifi card was upgraded to something capable of Wifi6.
The keyboard was swapped to a mechanical Keychron Q1 only last year and the mouse swapped to a wireless Logitech.

Im going for this build.
Is there any reason I should not buy this now? Will some offers/price reductions come on in the future on these components? Am I being naive buying without the GPU not knowing exactly what will come at the end of the month?
