CACJE 0604 CPAW stepping

Im currently running it at 2.7ghz on stock volts (1.360) 270x10 with a 150 divider on Geil Value memory (192mhz 2.5-3-3-6 timings)

Havent tried for higher or primed yet but just played BF2 for a couple of hours. sweet, i wonder what it can do with a slight volt adjustment :)

K, here's a couple of pics, I know its only been ran for a couple of hours but im still impressed for a chip i paid £113 for, increased the voltage very slightly and ramped it up 800mhz

SuperPI does 30seconds for 1mb and 5min 45 for 8mb. More importantly games play smooth

DFI Ultra-D. Ill be ordering some GSkill PC4000 on monday i think but how do i get to 3ghz on geil value ram, cant go above 200mhz really.

Is it prime stable, if so thats a nice OC. Had to put my voltage up to 1.42 to get 10 hours out of prime at 2.8. Same stepping btw

it is for 2hours, not sure about 10 i will run it on monday when im at work at the same settings. Im thinking that if I want to run it at 3ghz (if it will) ill have to up the volts to about 1.4 something

sorry people, it seems cpu-z was/is lieing to me. I have the volts in bios on 1.425, is 3ghz on a 2/03 divider a no go or is it still possible say with 1.45volts?

so would it be better to leave as it as at 2.8ghz or try it at 3ghz at 1.5volts? i see quite a lot of people leaving theirs at 2.8 and 1.42volts (same as mine)

what the hell does 'life span' mean anyway. if i ran it at 1.6volts would it just suddenly die after 2 years or something?

If that's a SuperPi 1M test I'd expect a little higher. My 146 gets 34 sec @ 2.5GHz with Single channel RAM at 200MHz.

mine got 30 sec@ 2.8ghz duel channel at 200mhz. could get sub 30 with pc4000 memory i think

mj3zero 1.46volts isnt stock, ive upped mine by a couple and its only at 1.42 now.

my pi socres-

1mb 30sec
8mb 5.45sec
32mb 28.16sec

I reckon your temp sensors are way out, with that clock increase and voltage bump you would have to be using highend watercooling to achieve load temps of 35.Unless you have your pc in a cold room that is, or maybe you live in the arctic regions.

DFI boards are notorious for under reading temps,I would say your readings are a good 10-15 degrees shy of true temps.

yep, motherboard monitor shows some VERY strange readings, like going from -23c to 110c  somehow i think its lieing to me!

cliffy, yes i think they do have the 'cold bug' not that i have liquid nitrogen at hand anyway
