So I've had this setup quite a while and I have pretty much settled my overclock for sometime, but a question keeps coming back and bugging me.
The setups is Asus Sabertooth 990fx board, Phenom II, 2x2gb Crucial Ballistix 1866mhz Ram.
Here's how I got it overclocked...
FSB... 240mhz
Multiplier...16.5
CPU Speed... 3973mhz
HT link... 1926mhz
NB... 2400mhz
Ram... 1926mhz @ 9-8-9-26-38 @1.65volts
Everything runs stable, and I really cant seem to get more out of the CPU and Memory at the moment. Although I have to say for a dual core Phenom II i paid just under £60 for I can't be anymore happy with this chip! I havn't tried pushing the NB anymore, I don't know if there would be any point?
My biggest question is I have read so many places its best to keep the HT link as close to 2000mhz as possible. I get the options of 1920mhz and 2160mhz in the bios would it best to to go just above or just below?
