After killing my X1800 XT and being stuck with an X300SE then an X550 for gaming on, I just ordered the X1900 XT on this week only. :D Should go like chips and gravy with my new Core 2 Duo setup. :cool:

I wish I had done it a few hours ago as it would be here tomorrow, but I have waited almost a month so three more days don't kill me. :)
 
Nice upgrade! Still waiting to actually get to use the 1800XT I bought last week...only got about 9 days to go...

Why did you leave it so long to get a new card though?

Two reasons, really; I wanted to completely revamp my old Socket 754 system and go Conroe, so I did that last week for £400 so I was skint after that, and on the other hand I didn't know wether I would want an X1900 XT or one of the new X1950 XTXs so I had to wait until the latter was released. Naturally, since the X1950 XTXs only offer X1900 XTX performance for £330, I went for the X1900 XT. :)

My X1800 XT was at 730/900 stable, but I left the Zalman disconnected after cleaning it, so I think that counts as killing it with fire really. :p

I think I will cheat and perform a pre-emptive signature update, I think everybody gets very confused when they read it and it has an X550 in it. :o
 
Nice card. I had a X1900 XT-X, Now Sold but can't make up my mind what to do with regard to a new card. Currently running a X850 at 620/620 and I'm very suprised just how good it still is. Still running Dungeon Seige 2 and Dark Star One at 1920x1200 with full detail. Just had to turn off the AA.
