Hey All,

I thought I'd make the idea for my next build public to take advantage of all of your expertise!

It's been a few years since I've built or even upgraded anything, but this project has a purpose.

The Build
I'm not a gamer, I'm a computer programmer and I'm likely to be running VMs and using pretty heavy compilation software, statistical analysis software, machine learning, etc.
I'd like to keep the build around the £1000 mark if possible...
So far, this is coming in at around £1200, so any cost saving tips would be appreciated.
What I really want though are suggestions, recommendations and a compatibility sense check!

AMD Ryzen™ 7 2700X
I've been an "Intel Guy" for years now. For no good reason of course. My justification for this is the high core count.

ASUS PRIME X470-PRO
I'm not too fussed on all the RGB hype, but I don't want an ugly mobo! Packed with plenty of features as far as I'm concerned.

16GB (2x8GB) Corsair DDR4 Vengeance LPX Black, PC4-21300 (2666)
The spec is 16GB, to be honest I have no justification for this particular make/model though.

ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 DUAL OC 3GB GDDR5 VR Ready Graphics Card, 1152 Core, 1569MHz GPU, 1785MHz Boost
Like I said, I'm not a gamer. BUT what I do want is to be able to hook up 2 DisplayPort monitors :)

256GB Samsung PM981, M.2 (2280)
I'll stick the OS on this. Maybe a few of the larger programming suits.

1TB WD Blue WD10EZEX SATA III 6GB/s 7200rpm 64MB Cache 8ms OEM HDD
I won't fill this too quickly.

650W Cooler Master MasterWatt 650, Hybrid Modular, 80 PLUS Bronze
To be honest, I don't know if 650 is 'too much', but I like modular PSUs, I recognise the brand and it was reasonably priced!

ASUS PCE-AC68 Dual-band Wireless AC1900 PCI-E Adapter with 3 Antennas
No hard wires for me I'm afraid!

Microsoft Windows 10 Professional, 64-bit
I've gone for pro so I can use Remote Desktop... But then again, I guess I could use something like VNC?

NZXT Source 340 Compact Black Mid Tower Case with Side Window
I like the minimalist style, the colour, the window, the brand. Other than that, I'm not too picky.

Yea I couldn't find an exact match for the card on OC. But I agree, that GPU cost needs to come right down. I'll do some digging.
I was only going modular to keep things tidy, but no, its not a requirement, again, I'll do some digging.
And nope, I don't need the high end wifi card either, I saw it as recommended in CustomPC magazine haha. I'll get to work finding a replacement.
I'll see if I can get some cheaper 3000 RAM too whilst I'm at it.

What do you think about going down to B450 on the mobo?

Also, thanks a lot for your help.
