My PC games not seeing my Xbox One wireless controller since new creators update?

A few of my Steam games work, but most don't see my controller any more since update? Worked perfectly before? What happened?

I'm using a 360 pad (not xbox one) and it seems to be working fine after I've done the creator update. I got a few pop up messages when I first turned the pad on saying it had done some updates (can't remember the wording)

The new "Game mode" and it's implementation however leaves a lot to be desired, but that's another story...

I got a few more games to work, but have a few that don't even see the controller in the game settings? Maybe a fresh install of windows 10 might help. I'll just leave it until I have to do a new os install.

have seen this mentioned elsewhere they said reinstalling the pads driver or the wireless dongle driver fixed it
