Here's the story: My Socket A motherboard got damaged (Abit AT7-Max2) and I got a new Socket A motherboard. Since these are hard to get nowadays I could only get an Asrock motherboard (K7NF2-Raid)
So, with the new motherboard my PC isn't running as fast as it used to, despite all the same components still in the system. I upgraded the DDR333 ram from 1gb to 2gb. One thing I want to add is that my new motherboard CAN take DDR400 ram and was wondering if this might be the problem? I have set the jumpers to DDR333 but would upgrading my ram to DDR400 (and changing the jumpers back) make a huge difference?
Another thing that's different on the new motherboard is that I'm using Windows home edition instead of Windows XP.
Thanks for your help!!!
