My PC is overclocked when upgrading Ram I must stop overclock ?

Hi I want to upgrade my Ram from 2GB to maybe 4GB or 8GB. IP35 PRO mobo.

My Q6600 is currently overclocked @3.6Ghz. Am I best reverting everything back to default in the bios then install the new ram or can I just put the new stuff in and carry on with my current overclock ?

One more thing is it a case of the more ram you have the lower the overclock you will reach ? ie using 8GB ?

If you're adding another kit of RAM that's exactly the same as your current RAM, then you will be fine.

If you're taking out your current RAM and replacing it with RAM of a different rating (not size in GB, but speed in Mhz) then it's best to find out what the reccomended settings are before hand and reset your overclock to accompany it.
