Whenever it moves or is touched in the slightest, it will go EE EE EEE ee e then get quieter as if it is something inside wobbling or spinning O,o

I'm pretty sure it comes from the HD or Disk Drive area.
It happened when I first got it but for some reason it stopped after I just shuffled it around a bit.

Now it's started squeaking again and no amount of small movement will stop it.

Please save me :)

Check the mounts for your HDD's and CD Drives, making sure they are screwed in properly, if they are loose maybe the drives spinning may cause movement and sqeaking, maybe?

sorry but did anyone else think of austin powers wid mini mee going dfown that shoot going EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE before he hits that metal sign lol :P

Is it tightly screwed in? Is the sound comeing from the hard drive or the casing?

:EDIT:

how did it take me at least 28min to write that :S

Well I'm quite sure it isn't the case, but something stuck to the case on the inside. So it probably is the mounts or something?
How would I go about screwing them in?
Is it a screw-driver job?

What case do you have? Are you able to pullout or unscrew the hard drive cage? You may only need to tighten the screens on the hard drive which fix it into the hard drive cage. Or you may need to tighten the screws on the hard drive cage which are attached to the case. Cases resonate squeekes and humms very well. it may not even be coming from your hard drive, but im guesing youve put your head in the pc to identify the area causing it ?

Your more likely to get a scratching noice from a hard drive. So lets hope its not taht but i trust you have everything backed up incase your hard drive bout to die?

I've got a (horrible) Dell Dimension e520 case.
But no, I haven't checked inside for a cause of the problem yet.
Also no, I don't have my hard drive backed up :o
