Seems my pug has been cheating on me and getting it on with one of the k series variety, unfortunatly it has followed the k series with one of its most distinguising fates wih a slight bit of it being confused of its identity.
i went out to do my weekly check onmy car after work today and low and behold i have a sump full of fresh and tasty mayo!!!!
not quite sure what to do about it at moment, as i dont need my car for work particulary (live 2-3 miles from work and can cycle). Whatever i do i will be doing the work myself as i am a competant mechanic and well i dont trust greese monkeys at all. however i am not too mad since i am planning on changing the engine in the summer for something a little nippier, it has the xu10j2 engine atm 2l 8v with 123bhp (only replaced this last summer due to old engine dropping a valve and getting a good deal on it).
so my options at the moment are:
1. strip engine down check out damage and replace flushing engine etc etc (total cost of about £100 with fluids etc)
2. start looking for an mi16/gti6/2.0l8v/s16 engine+ecu and drop that in replacing cambelt and tensioners before fitting.
3. go a bit mad and try and find a 206 gti180 lump "ew series" and fit this will be the most work but also most rewarding engine and most tunable later on since it is dry linered, and full alloy block too.
bah damn cars, i just bought a new laptop last week too :/
