Hello all
I have been tinkering with my Phenom II 550 x2, people seem to be getting stable at 3.8ghz (19*200) at 1.45v.
At the moment i am at 3.5ghz (13*270) 1.375v.
My RAM is OCZ Gold 800mhz and my motherboard seems to overclock it as the fsb goes up so i have changed that from 1.85 to 1.95v. Now my main question is will i see the highest performance boost from fsb clocking or a mixture?
13x is the lowest multiplier i could use without system instability so will i see a better performace at 270*13 compared to say 200*17.5 or even a mixture of the two?
Temperatures are not an issue as after 2 hours of stress testing from prime 95 and intel burn the temps were maxed out at 31 degrees.
Any information or help would be great.
Thanks
