Last night my gf was playing hidden source when the connection dropped out and she got thrown back to the server list. Servers wouldn't refresh for a few seconds, then when they did the majority of servers were showing pings of at least 100 ms and have been ever since. My pings are usually very low by comparison.
I've checked and its everything I ping passed my adsl router, even google. I know its not anything updating as I've tried it from XP & Vista.
Here's an example tracert I've tried:
Now I have raised this with Pipex and they seem to have acknowledged a problem, saying that they've raised a case with BT but that I'm liable if it turns out to be my router. I'm 99.9% sure that it's not my router, but I think I'm goign to try a firmware flash just to be on the safe side.
Anyway was jut wondering if anyone has had anything like this before and what they did? Seems unusual that a line fault would cause my ping to rise to only 100 ms and not more.
