My Ping Never Goes below 70!!!!

No matter what I play, which server I join, what rates I use, my ping to the server is always atleast 70! I'm using a Belkin router, I've tried with and without firewall enabled and it doesnt help. I've restored to factory settings but to avail.

I've actually just reformatted this afternoon with my hard drives so I don't think its spyware etc. What other possibilities could be causing the high ping apart from ISP?

If MaxDSL, it could be high level interleaving. I have interleaving on my line and I usually ping about 50-60 on a game server. No real difference in experience though - I don't see lag tbh.

I think I'm on a bog standard ADSL line. 1meg from BT.

What do you ping bbc.co.uk etc as? I mean is it just game servers you are having problems with?

Average of 47ms to bbc.co.uk with "ping bbc.co.uk" in cmd.

In CSS "net_graph 3" is giving out ~80ms
