Hi,
I'm planning to build a computer that would be used for gaming and also everyday work as well.

Here is the list of parts planned for the build. It will include a blue ray drive, a hard-drive and a SSD already purchased.

CPU: Intel Core i5 6600 3.3GHz Socket 1151 6MB
Motherboard: MSI Z170M Mortar Socket LGA 1151
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (2x4GB)2400MHz
PSU: Corsair VS Series 550Watt
Graphics Card: MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4GB Twin Frozr
Case: Aerocool DS 200 White Gaming Case

I would be grateful for any advice as I don't want the graphics card to be bottlenecked with the rest of the PC. Are there any parts you would change?
Thanks For Any Help.

Ill be helping the op build this but havent looked at specing a machine for a while, there are no plans to overclock, hence why we went for the 6600 and not the 6600k, as the price difference is considerable, also would need to buy an additional cooler.

Also why do you suggest a better psu?

Kind Regards
James

Ok fair enough on the cpu but the power supply is a very cheap basic model spend £20 more for a decent antec/seasonic/superflower unit much less chance of it going puff, psu is a part not to be skimped on.

The Corsair is made by CWT, an average OEM. It will probably be fine, but for the sake of £20 I'd always go for a top tier OEM like Superflower. Think of the extra as 'insurance'

The difference in price between the 6600K and 6600 is £11, or nothing at all if you go for the OEM version. The 'K' series will always hold their values much better when selling later so getting one now (even considering that you have to add a £15 cooler) is a no-brainer to me :)
