What I think happened and this is just a guess, it looks like either my cat or another one got in the window and "sprayed" it

Came up to find a spray mark up the screen that smelt strong. Cleaned it off turned on the pc to stream so stuff then when I came back up it was like that :(

Loved that monitor, now need to decide what to replace it with
 
Reminds me of when one of our cats sprayed in the back of my three month old Samsung 50" Plasma and that caused a 2 inch wide black line all the way down the TV, it needed a new screen. We then changed the position of the Plasma so that it backs up against the wall as he sprayed through the black mesh vent things on the rear of the TV.

Whilst you didn't wish to at least you have now got a genuine reason to buy one of the 27" DGM's - you know you want to :D
 
Well I am trying to decide on which one to get, my budget is £180 so think the 27" is out.

OCUK don't do my monitor any more :( want something with a nice low response time.

Just need to find one that shocks the cat if it goes near it

Thing is the way its gone you can tell something has gotten down into it. If I RMA'd it to samsung think they would say no

I have ordered a new one.

I could see if my house insurance would cover it as I have a no excess policy but not sure if its worth it for a £170 monitor
