So, she is going into the garage next week, and i think she is telling me that she really wants it.

The back left light cluster has failed on me and today, ive found that two of my OZ's have serious cracks in the alloy itself :(

Looks like its either impact or stress fractures, ill get some pictures this week.

Cant wait to get it to the garage, so much stuff gonna be done she will be like new!

Just thought id share my r32's pain with you. :D

Can they repair a structural crack in an alloy?

You turbo'd it yet?

*n

not yet, but i have just got a turbo manifold for it from PAG parts for a t3/t4 turbo, and some milltek manifolds - but having the manifolds just for the ring as obviously they wont be any good for turbo application.

and no, i dont think its possible to weld the cracks, theyre pretty nasty :(

When its in the garage, its having all the bodywork done it needs - bonnet, wings, doors, front bumper and anything else.

fitting milltek manifolds, stripping head down and checking it all out, cleaning the intake - and painting it, neu speed anti roll bars, full service, new spark plugs etc etc, i have the full list at home, but i keep adding to it daily lol.

And im not sure about the alloys, i didnt have the right rubber on to start with so it didnt have much suspension in the wheel itself, and i do give the car serious stick most of the time. :D

Jeez, what'ya hit? Takes some impact to crack an alloy!

I laugh at cracks - real men do this:

But yea, you really ought to change them - bad luck mate.

3 words.

Dave East Engineering.

he repairs all my bent bike bits and does a lot of the BSB/TT paddock when they bend wheels. he repaired a (to me) completely knackered Rondell from my mates escort cossy... came back just needing a respray and it's still on the car with no problems 2 years later!!

in fact i picked a wheel up from him on Thursday which had been flatted off from a pothole or something. spot on... :)
