Hi ladies and gents.

Today while fitting one of my burner i decided to try and put in some stocking/pop sock filters on my fans as its getting bloody dusty inside of my case. Heres the results.

This is the front filter with the stocking put on. Basically i just cut the sock to the size of an 80 mm fan and stretched it over the existing fan guard (120mm)

This is some off the dust which was on the fan when i removed the guard. Hopefully these stockings will prevent this from happening again.

And the finished product. I also did this for the Exhaust fan aswell but if you;ve seen one, you've seen em all:D

Comments are welcome. :p

very nice :p

i did something like this on mine... except i used the cloth from some old broken floor standing speaking. the black lining on them was perfect.

only problem is that you now have to cleam them every month or so... :p

to be honest i have left mine for months and months. they are no longer black but a horrible grey, maybe i should clean them.

What happened to the stock filter that should've come with your case?

My PC-7 filter is pretty good at stopping the big chunks of dust but I find a little still gets through.

My case never come with any filters. Ive seen a post somewhere about how some people got them and some didnt. I think its also the same with the side panels. Some peoples come with a grill in the bottom left hand corner and some didnt.

That's two different revisions though, the + and the +II. On the second screenshot you posted you can see 4 vertically orientated slots around the fan cutout that are there to take the filter.

Lian Li are usually pretty good for support, a friend of mine received one of their cases without enough thumbscrews and they sent him a packet free of charge.
