My power cable that plugs in my laptop is hissing ever so slightly where it plugs in the back of my laptop. Should I be worried?
It has been having the odd "refusing to charge" headfit......

The actual bit that plugs in the computer isnt wobbly, but the wire itself is somewhat bent. I guess why I posted is because I dont want the laptop to blow up and die on me or anything. Do I need to get a new cable, it only seems to be an intermittent thing, like its not doing it now.

i would get a new cable to be on the safe side, it will probably go altogether they usually do, its not likely to blow up or anything just get some smoke when it arcs out but its 19v and very unlikely to cause a fire.

It died not long after I typed my last post. Battery started running down. Went to the shops, bloody thing cost me 50 quid!!!
Its working fine now, so I guess it was the cable. Thanks for your help.
