My printer is plug and play but not being picked up?

Hey everyone

My printer is an Epson Stylus DX4850, it works fine cos I use it on my mac, the problem is that my window xp computer won't notice it when it's plugged in.

It picks up the scanner, which I can see in my device manager, so does anyone hav any ideas as to how to reset everything so I can start again with installing the printer?

just try to remove all programs installed, and remove printer from control panel and install agin, then plug it in...

Do windows update incase it helps.

If it doesnt work, try different USB socket, sometimes that helps

Is it in Device Manager? Or does it show in Safely Remove Hardware?

Download drivers from Epson?

Thanks for the advice guys,

I've tried changing the USB ports but with no luck, the drivers are from the official epson CD, It doesn't show up at all in device manage, thats the weird thing, its not un-recognised in the USB section and it doesnt appear at all under the printer section, its only under the scanner bit :-S
