My problem with rts / rpg games

I started ogame a few days ago and its mainly just sitting around wait for stuff to build and waiting for more stuff to be mined, there is too much waiting for stuff to happen and i get bored stiff. At thids rate i'll be here for weeks before it starts to get good and frankly i cba.

I want a game where i start with lots of stuff and can get straight on with things, is ther such a game ?

You could try 'Battle for middle earth' - there is building involved, but you carry your army forward from one level to the next.

thats a pretty good game.
Also Homeworld 1 and 2 are worth a look too. Can't think of any rts where you don't have to build. But the homeworld games are probably the best in the genre.
