Been getting some blue screens recently, Microsoft can't tell me what it is (error reporting thing) so I checked in my event logs and here's what it says:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: System Error
Event Category: (102)
Event ID: 1003
Date: 28/07/2006

Description:

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

The only thing that Microsoft tell me after I've sent them the error report is that it's something to do with a halted driver.

This is my only problem on this PC at the moment (apart from the external hard drive ftdisk which I think might be to do with overheating).

--Edit--
I really don't know if it's coincidence or not but it seems to be happening when running uTorrent... but then again I installed Azureus to see if it was uTorrent and the same thing happened. I really don't see how both could cause the same problem.

Thanks in advance :)
Craig.

Not overclocked

Temps are perfect

I will try memtest but this RAM has been tested in another PC and works perfectly

Also I'm using an Akasa Ultra Quiet 460W ATX 2.0 PSU. All voltages are looking good as well :)

Weirdly, the PC has only ever BSOD when running a torrent program, could it be something to do with a corrupt shell extension? Maybe a RegSeeker cleanup could do the trick as I really don't see anything else in torrent programs that could cause it.

Thanks for the help :)
Craig.

It did it again... torrent was running as well. It has never ever BSOD without a torrent program running.

This time I got a little more information:

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Then at the bottom it said:

NET8511.sys address F7AC8151 base at F7AC7000, datestamp 3a35a42f

--Edit--

Right, I just decided to re-install my USB ethernet adapter driver (onboard LAN seems to be broken, I'm going to try get it working again). I noticed during the reinstall of the drivers that it was installing NET8511.SYS so either the driver was corrupt or the hardware is broken.

Anyway, I'm going to try get onboard working again now, wish me luck :p

-- Edit 2 --

Just reinstalled the drivers (newest ones from ASUS site) for the onboard LAN & plugged it in. All it's doing is saying that it's unplugged.
Any ideas how I can fix it please? It looks fine in the device manager (in it's right place and doesn't have any warning signs by it or anything)

-- Edit 3 --

Right, just checked the event viewer and found this:

Event Type: Error

I'm hoping it's just a software error that's making my onboard LAN not work, I really would like to get it working again >.<

Another edit:

I just set a custom IP in the TCP/IP options, then disabled and re-enabled it. It connected for a few seconds but then went back to network cable unplugged :(

Also, just found this in the event viewer as a warning:

Event Type: Warning

Well it hasn't BSODd since I reinstalled NET8511.sys (ethernet USB adapter drivers).

If it does it again I'll do what's been suggested :)

Thanks,
Craig.
