My profile is now backwards due to the lightning....

So I the lighting storm blew my Enermax liberty, after I replaced it with my spare Hiper it's back up again. I didn't need to reinstall windows...however, I have somehow lost my profile......when I sign in it goes to a default one and I have lost all my cookies, custom themes, even some installed programs. So my question is how do I get it back?

1 - There were some stuff on the desktop that I want back.
2 - I can see all the programs installed in the C:/ but its not on the Start menu
3 - Anyway to recover that profile ?

probably. if you go to c:\docs and settings\ you'll see a list of profiles. There should be one there with your stuff in, copy it to your new profile.

As for 3, the only way might be a system restore

Can you elabrate on how do I do this cut and paste thing ?

this has to be a windup, 15k posts and you dont know how to cut and paste?

right click on the folder/file you want to cut and click cut then right click in the folder you want to paste it to and right click and click paste.

I know how to cut and paste...anyway, where is system restore, migth try that first.

Basically when I log in the main page, a little message comes up saying "your profile is corrupted and a temporary profile will be loaded, any changes you make on this profile will be lost when you log out."
