My Project For The Summer!

been sitting having a brain storm, i have quite a lot of filler left over and i started to smooth out the old front panel, and it wont need much modding to put the screen into it :) the case has a large curve running down the bottom half so it wouldnt be possible to mount the resovoir flush against it, but i was wondering can you mount an alphacool tube resovoir vertically?

**UPDATE** put ideas into action this afternoon and ive just about finished the front of the case :D just the slit to cut where the resovoir tube will be behind, but il do that when i get the resovoir next week :) i might put a trim across the bottom of the monitor aswell and cut a little hole for the power bottom, il have a tink about that tho.

Case is coming along nicely and the end is in sight! :D Although, think the the kitchen needs a bit of a tidy  A trail of destruction lol.

BeatMaster :D

Wow you have made quite a big step in progress, its looking very good. I'm going to try and get some of mine done today hopefully I can get the cutting and fan mounting sorted.

cool, im gonna make some alterations to mine, gonna make the trims bigger so they show just the lcd screen and then drill a hole through above the power switch so i can turn it on/off

The hard work paid off :) Its great with these projects when you can start to see the finished product. Your's is coming along great, keep up the hard work - what is next on the agenda?

well a little bit more sanding but i have no hands left to sand with at the mo :( *looks a raw flesh* then smooth the circle windows out. Make the shelf/shroud for the radiator. Then sit and wait till the 23rd for all my components, then cut a slit down the front of the case for resovoir, move the psu and maybe cut another window fo it and then build :D test then paint! finished :)

OMG! I decided to tidy the kitchen (overdue) and i dunno how i missed it but the monitor has a remote!!! soo ive drilled a little hole through to the censor :D it doesnt have much of an effective angle due to the thickness of the case but what a cool feature lol and ive filled in the hole id made for the button. i thought id bitten off more than i could chew doing this as my first mod, but its been so much fun, never have i taken so much pride in my own work lol

I was wondering whether people know of any mods where people have moved a psu, im interested in how they made the back panel.
Thanks

the best way is to cut the old panel out and move it then fill the hole with the metal you moved the cpu too

well i was gonna replace the hoole with mesh anyhow to let some hot air out, this is a pick of what ive got to work with

i was wanting to mount the psu on it side, but i dunno where the fan is on Corsair HX 620W ATX2.2 Modular so i duuno about that yet

You could also use a lian li PSU mount. It's a plate that allows you to mount the psu one way then rotate it 180 degrees if you need to! :)

I'm sure if you search on google you'll find one to look at!

gt

upwards? and maybe turned 90 degrees depending on where the fan is on the PSU

EDIT:: Thee corsair put air out of the back apparantly so i wont need to turn it 90 degrees
