My proposed ib spec.

Decided to put an ib setup together and sell my current i7 920, board cpu and ram to a mate. How do the following parts ive picked look.

I was split between the i7 3570k and the 3770k. But reading around here, it seems that for gaming (which will be about 90% of my use) the 3570k will be more than enough. Ill be using the following parts from the current rig.

Gigabyte gtx 670 wf x3
Asus xonar DX pcie audio card
Ocz vertex 2E bigfoot 120gb
Alpenfohn k2 mount doom cooler
Corsair HX 850w psu
Bitfenix shinobi xl or Lian Li A70F
Windows 7 hp 64 bit.
Samsung F3 1TB

That looks great.

You can get cheaper RAM but the one is a good overclocker and goes well with the colour scheme.

You sure about the move from the 920 to IB ?

I'm waiting for a while longer yet to change CPU + mobo myself.

Although you have tri fire 670s, the extra CPU power might actually make sense. Enjoy !!

Gonna sell the i7 kit whilst i can still get something for it, (i actually have two x58 rigs, will be keeping one). As my friends pc has died, (an old c2d s775 rig) he has expressed an interest in it. I thought about waiting till Haswell, but it's still some way off. And the value of my current parts will only decrease more in that time, therefore meaning a higher outlay on a new rig. Ill probably be adding a second gtx 670 at some point in the future but i expect the 3570k shouldnt bottleneck two cards an awful lot.
